CAMWA member’s vision is to live in a city of Winnipeg where newcomer and Canadian born women collaborate, share, and jointly work on creating conditions in which all women access opportunities and means to better their lives while contributing to their local community building.
Working in partnership with other organizations to enable Muslim women access to training, swimming and exercising, English language and Canadian life skills learning, to reduce their social isolation, increase their employability skills, and to move from social assistance dependency to workforce.
We aim to serve the Muslim women from sub-Sahara Africa as well the wider women in the Muslim community. These women have face historical oppression, trauma due the conflict in their home communities. They have continued to face barriers as they settle In Canada often as single parents’ families.
